Metrin Skincare Experience: A Metrin self-love story!

“When I was very young, I can remember my dad pinching at my cheeks, or rubbing his harsh whiskers against my face, commenting on my soft skin and saying it reminded him of my Oma’s skin. To this day, in her 90’s, my Oma’s skin is virtually free of wrinkles- somehow still plump, smooth, and amazingly soft. Having a creamy, glowing complexion has always been an integral component of natural beauty for me; so when I entered my teen years and became plagued with myriad skincare issues, my perception of my own beauty- and my self-confidence- were decidedly diminished. 

Like most teens, I had temperamental skin that would break out in redness, acne, or weird rashes- who knows. My skin seemed to react to anything different in my environment, and even at best, it was never what I wanted it to be. My t-zone was always oily, and as soon as one blemish would heal, another would arrive. 
This all started around my 15th year, and although I assumed it would be a hormone-related scourge that, at worst, would clear up as I entered my 20’s- this was not to be the case. I never truly found a solution for my skin until I was 27 years old. In the 12 years that my skin was the number one enemy of my confidence, I made a lot of attempts to find a resolution. 

Looking for Balance

Thinking it would be the most effective method, I first tried a prescription for acne; I soon had to discontinue the medication as it gave me a side-effect of migraine headaches. I tried cleansing wipes and gels- these would dry out my skin, leaving me with flaky red patches- and doing little or nothing to clear up my breakouts and oiliness. I finally discovered a Biotherm cleanser that left my skin feeling clean of the oil; and although it didn’t really help or heal my breakouts, and it didn’t leave me with the perfect creamy skin of my dreams- after all the worse reactions I had been through, I decided to just stick with it and resigned myself to a life of imperfect skin.
I never put anything on my face other than mineral powder and I used a Mario Bodescu solution for acne that wouldn’t prevent skin problems, but did help a little for those that were already there. I sort of gave up on the idea that I would ever really love my skin- but I still wished I could have it. I remember staring at Evangeline Lily’s face while watching Lost and imagining how great it would be to have such beautiful skin. 

A Discovery

When I was 27 years old, I was out of grad school and looking for a job. I was spending a lot of time on my laptop, scouring job boards and sending out hundreds of applications- and of course, also getting distracted, doing a little online shopping and random blog reading. Somehow- in that way that the internet can lead you to a place you don’t know how you came to- I discovered Metrin. 
The first time I saw the Metrin website, I found it hard to believe. How could this program really be everything it claims to be, and yet I had never heard of it? The website seemed old and clunky, but what I found so compelling was the authenticity of the customer stories and photos. They were obviously real photos that people had sent in. 
After exploring all the information available on the site, I realized that I was starting to believe in the product; it just made sense. I decided to learn a little more. I called their customer service line and was referred to a local distributor. When I went to meet the distributor for my first Metrin sample pack, I couldn’t help but notice that although she was at least 15 years older than me, she had an incredible youthful glow. 

I went home feeling hopeful, ready to test out my new skincare program. True to my skin’s character, it reacted. It didn’t last long- a day of little bumps, kind of like a rash- but it made me hesitant. I was nervous- but what convinced me to continue on, and eventually purchase my first full-sized value pack, was the Metrin service team. I was guided through every little hiccup my skin experienced with knowledge and understanding. The expertise I received from the team at Metrin not only helped me get through my skin’s adjustment period, but also made me feel assured that my skin would adjust, it would clear up, and this program would work for me as it worked for so many other people. 
I became a believer, using the program daily, following the steps precisely. It took a little time, but my distributor had told me it might. I thought it was worth giving it some time- because even though it hadn’t suddenly corrected my skincare problems in a week, something was changing. My skin was feeling great. I still had some areas that were breaking out, but overall my skin just felt better, felt healthier. 
I can remember that at about six months in, I realized I wasn’t really worried about my skin anymore. I didn’t yet feel that it was perfect and totally reliable; but it had improved to the point that it was no longer on my mind. 
To tell the truth, I don’t remember when my skin became something I loved about myself. It just seamlessly became part of my life that I had beautiful skin. 

A Lifelong Love

Now, at 31, I am still using Metrin, and I will continue to use it for life. My skin has looked better and felt better with every year that has passed since I found this program. I am getting older, but every year is another year I have used Metrin- so it’s almost as though my skin is getting younger. Any skincare concerns I had have become smaller and smaller the longer I have continued with this program.  
I don’t really know how I look to other people- you never really know- but I definitely get the impression people think I am a lot younger than I am. People are always asking for “my secret”; I never know what to say. Weirdly, when you offer to tell people the secret they asked you for, they don’t usually believe you. 
One of the things I love about Metrin is that I’m always discovering that it is great for this or that problem I have; if I have any weird skin issue, if I put a little No.1 or No.4 on it, it’s as good as gone. Burns, bites, rashes. I use it for everything, and it always helps my skin heal and feel better. 

And that’s really how I know it is the best skincare program there is. It truly helps you heal and feel better.
